MIMI: "Well, actually Chris Carter and David [Duchovny] asked me - well David and I have been friends for a long time, since we did The Rapture, and he had always said, if there was an interesting part would you do the show, and I said [cute flip of the hand here] oh, absolutely, cause I was a huge fan. So Chris and David - I think both called and asked if I wanted to do this and [snaps fingers] there I was."

INTERVIEWER: "And was it a good time? Did you have fun working with David again?"

MIMI: [warm, wide smile] "Yeah. I really did. It was actually fun, working with everybody. I had a chance to get to know Gillian [Anderson] a little bit, and she and I got along really well. So, yeah, I mean, I was a big fan of the show along with millions of other people, so it was really fun to be working on it. And it was interesting because every time I had an episode that aired, for the next week, I would just be bombarded with people wherever I went [awed look]. You know, it's amazing the power that a successful show has in terms of the public."

INTERVIEWER: "And your character incurred the wrath of fans because she was sort of Mulder's ex-girlfriend." [mischievious grin and nod from Mimi] "How did that feel?"

MIMI: "I liked that. [wide grin] I thought that was great - get in there and mix things up. [jovial flip of the hand] I wanted them to do more. I thought we could have gone much further." [laughing openly now]

INTERVIEWER: "Did you ever read what the fans write around the internet about the character?"

MIMI: [clearly intrigued] "No! You gotta tell me! Was I evil?"

INTERVIEWER: "Very evil."

MIMI: "Hey, I gave my LIFE for him! [theatrical wounded look] Didn't they realise that at the end?" [playing, but clearly interested as well]

INTERVIEWER: "In the end. I think you're okay in their eyes."

MIMI: [still playing wounded] "That's right!" [laughs again]

INTERVIEWER: "Now, you were also in Vancouver for David's last day in Vancouver, his very last scene." [Mimi nods] "Was that emotional?"

MIMI: "Well, this was weird. My very first show was the very last show being shot in Vancouver. So I'm going in like, 'Hey, this is great, I'm here!' [waving arms enthusiastically] and everyone's like [wiping eyes mournfully] 'H-h-hi.' So it was a very schizophrenic week because, you know, I was very excited to be on the show, very excited to be there, and they were going through this grieving process - it was the last episode and having to say goodbye to all the crew and I was really, you know, not a part of that. So it was affecting and it was moving but it was also kind of weird to be part of that dynamic."
